Case Study:
Language Translation of Patient Education Materials
Dynamic Language has worked extensively with the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) providing language translation for patient education materials
in multiple languages.
UWMC is a 450-bed teaching hospital located in Seattle, Washington, assisting patients of vastly diverse ethnicities and nationalities. In a proactive effort to serve the many communities that rely on their services, UWMC’s Patient and Family Health Department provides an extensive list of educational brochures and booklets, many of which are translated into multiple languages, such as Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Oromo, and Russian.
For over 10 years, Dynamic Language has translated those materials, and our project management and file archiving systems have ensured that ongoing revisions are managed in a quick and cost-effective way.
We’ve made every effort to simplify the process for UWMC:
they email us with the name of the brochure, any last revision date, and the new version of the document. Dynamic leverages the language translation from the earlier version, translating only the new text, which saves the client both time and money.
Furthermore, we ensure that the same translators and reviewers repeatedly work on UWMC’s materials, and Dynamic’s in-house Graphic Design Department precisely formats all documents to adhere to the latest UWMC design standards. In this way, Dynamic provides UWMC with consistency in style and terminology to help them maintain a high quality library of translated healthcare documents.
"For years, we've used Dynamic's translation and graphic design services and been very satisfied with the quality, professionalism, and courtesy of the staff. Our requests are always fulfilled with time to spare, as well as understanding and good humor. I am pleased to recommend Dynamic Language to others who need translation services."
